My approach to counseling is eclectic and draws upon principles from many aspects of counseling theories as well as Eastern and Western philosophies. My hope in building an effective therapeutic relationship with my clients is to create a safe space where they can explore, process, and work through a variety of life’s issues. I apply a holistic wellness umbrella to my overall counseling approach by exploring and educating clients on how the mind, body, and soul/spirit are interconnected. Ultimately, my treatment approach utilizes a blend of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths-based, relational therapy, humanism, and rational emotive behavior therapy. Regardless of my approach, I believe it is important to meet my clients where they are at, so I am open to utilizing a variety of techniques and providing psychoeducation.

I have experience working with clients experiencing self-esteem issues, LGBTQ+, communication, anxiety, depression, trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), infidelity, life transitions, codependency, and marital issues. I specialize in working with those who identify with the LGBTQ+ community, couples, relationship issues, women’s issues, and self-esteem. I am LGBTQ+ allied, sex-positive/kink allied, and open relationships/non-monogamy allied.

No matter the situation, I have a true dedication and passion to helping clients work towards becoming the best versions of themselves and achieving their goals for counseling. I am also an avid learner and commit myself to a variety of areas of continuing education. I enjoy teaching my clients as much as I enjoy learning from them. I also believe in providing my clients with a variety of resources outside of the counseling relationship (e.g. books, podcasts, articles, etc.) as I want to help fill your toolbox with skills and techniques that you can learn from and utilize outside of our sessions.
